WVR - On January 30, ahead of the Year of the Horse, Deputy Governor Prachuap Rakphaet, along with Chinkorn Kaenkhong, the district chief, and a delegation from Khon Kaen province, visited the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen, Thailand, to extend New Year greetings.

Speaking at the reception, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh expressed gratitude to Deputy Governor Prachuap and the delegation for their interest and willingness to cooperate with Vietnam. He highlighted the effective collaboration that enabled the Vietnamese Consulate General to successfully fulfill its 2025 mission objectives.

On this occasion, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh was pleased to announce the great success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the work plans of the Representative Office, and key activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations and the 30th anniversary of the Vietnamese Consulate General's establishment. He expressed his hope for continued support and cooperation from Khon Kaen authorities to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Thailand.

During the reception, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh cordially invited Deputy Governor Prachuap and his wife to attend the "Spring Homeland Festival" themed "Celebrating the Party - Celebrating Spring - Celebrating 50 Years of Vietnam-Thailand Diplomatic Relations" on February 12, marking the start of a particularly meaningful year for bilateral relations.

Gladly accepting the invitation, Deputy Governor Prachuap praised the significance of this year's Spring Homeland theme, highlighting the historical diplomatic ties between the two nations. He emphasized the importance of solidarity and encouraged the Vietnamese community to contribute to local socio-economic development while staying connected to their roots.

Welcoming Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh's proposal, Deputy Governor Prachuap assigned his team to develop a plan for organizing a friendly football match celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations in Khon Kaen (August 6, 1976 - August 6, 2026). Cultural and sports exchanges will enhance mutual understanding and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries.
