Lao Consul General and Governor of Thailand's Khon Kaen extend best wishes for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam
WVR - On January 13, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh, along with the staff of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen, Thailand, visited the Lao Consulate General to extend New Year greetings and congratulate the success of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

Congratulating the successful conclusion of the 12th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh affirmed that Laos' success is also Vietnam's success.
The special Vietnam-Laos relationship is an invaluable shared asset of the two nations, a unique model globally, and a solid foundation for both countries to overcome challenges, protect and develop their nations, contributing to peace, friendship, stability, and development in the region and the world.
Expressing gratitude for the sincere attention and gestures of friendship from Vietnamese friends, Lao Consul General Somsak Wilaythone highly appreciated the close and effective cooperation, the deep camaraderie between the two Consulates in 2025, vividly reflecting the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States, and peoples of the two countries.
On this occasion, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh was pleased to announce significant progress made by Vietnam after 40 years of renovation and during the 13th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

He also shared insights on major orientations and highlights in the policies and strategies of the upcoming 14th Congress, with a strategic vision towards the mid-21st century. By 2030, Vietnam aims to become a modern industrialized nation with upper-middle-income status; by 2045, on the 100th anniversary of independence, to become a developed, high-income country; advancing strongly in the era of national awakening for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam, steadily progressing towards socialism.

The Congress holds a pivotal role in guiding the Socialist Republic of Vietnam towards stable, prosperous, and sustainable development in the coming period.
