The conference aims to align with the scientific research orientation of the finance sector, contributing to the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2045, as well as the sustainable development goals outlined in Resolution No. 57–NQ/TW and Resolution No. 71–NQ/TW on education, science-technology, and innovation.
This is a significant academic forum for scientists, lecturers, doctoral candidates, managers, and businesses both domestically and internationally to share knowledge, publish research findings, and propose solutions for sustainable economic development linked with digital transformation, the green economy, and international integration.
In 2025, Vietnam continues to be classified by the MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International) and FTSE Russell as one of the leading frontier markets in terms of scale and growth rate in the region. The context of deep globalization, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Net Zero 2050 requirement, and Environmental – Social – Governance (ESG) standards are creating both opportunities and significant challenges for economic development and business management.
The SEDBM2025 international conference is organized to analyze new trends, identify challenges, unify understanding, and propose scientific solutions to enhance competitiveness, promoting rapid and sustainable development.
This year's conference features four keynote speakers who are world-renowned scholars and will be conducted with a series of in-depth activities over three days.
The event is co-organized by the Academy of Finance, Knowledge Bridge Research Institute, Macquarie University, RMIT University, Nottingham Trent University, Institute of Economics – Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, University of Economics and Law – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and University of Greenwich.
The conference content includes three sessions:
Panel 1: “Getting published: What the editors are looking for in quantitative and qualitative research”.
Panel 2: “Publishing in Business Journals”.
Main Session of the International Conference: Sustainable economic development and business management: opportunities and challenges in global frontier markets (SEDBM-2025) includes 2 plenary sessions and 12 parallel sessions.
Panel 3: “Research on finance, accounting, corporate governance and sustainable development: Research directions and experiences published in international journals”.
Sharing about the purpose and significance of the event, the leadership of the Academy of Finance stated that the conference is not only an academic forum but also contributes to enhancing international cooperation of the Academy of Finance, expanding the research network, promoting international publications, supporting doctoral candidates and young lecturers, while also providing policy recommendations and implications for sustainable economic-financial development of Vietnam in the new era.
