Hue broadens fee exemptions and reductions for visits to historical and cultural sites from 2026

WVR - The People's Council of Hue City has recently approved a resolution outlining the rates, collection, management, and use of fees for visiting historical and cultural sites within the Hue Imperial Complex.

Accordingly, the entrance fee for individual sites remains unchanged; fees for two-point and three-point routes are also maintained. Specifically, the combined route covering the four sites of Hue Imperial City, Minh Mang Tomb, Tu Duc Tomb, and Khai Dinh Tomb will be priced at 530,000 VND per adult per visit and 100,000 VND per child per visit (ages 7 to 12).

The all-inclusive route for all sites is priced at 600,000 VND per adult per visit and 120,000 VND per child per visit. Tickets for the all-inclusive route are valid for five days from the date of purchase.

In addition to the cases already exempted or reduced under Resolution No. 22 (2022) and Resolution No. 27 (2024) by the People's Council of Hue City, this resolution also expands the categories eligible for fee exemptions and reductions for visiting Hue's heritage sites.

Specifically, fee reductions are available for the elderly, low-income households, and students from universities, colleges, and vocational schools in Hue City. Students and pupils nationwide whose schools organize annual extracurricular visits registered with the Hue Monuments Conservation Center are also eligible.

Furthermore, free admission is extended to students from primary, secondary, and high schools nationwide for annual extracurricular visits; free entry is also granted to organizations and individuals who are partners, working groups, media units visiting for work, research, training, cooperation, or experience exchange in conservation, restoration, and promotion of monument values...

Additionally, during certain tourism promotion programs, festivals, and events in Hue City, entrance fees at some sites and routes may be reduced for both domestic and international visitors, with a maximum reduction of up to 50% of the established rates.

This resolution also addresses the management and use of fees collected from visits to Hue's monuments. It specifies the percentage retained by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center from the collected fees.

Specifically, for annual revenue up to 500 billion VND, the fee-collecting unit retains 45%, with the remainder submitted to the state budget. If revenue exceeds 500 billion VND annually, the entire excess amount is submitted to the state budget.
