According to the Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, supporting industry enterprises still face numerous challenges, as most are small and medium-sized, with limited technological capabilities, management capacity, and financial resources. Their ability to deeply participate in the global supply chain, especially in high-value-added stages, is not yet commensurate. Moreover, increasing demands for digital transformation, green transition, traceability, and ESG standards pose pressure on enterprises to proactively innovate their development models towards sustainability.

In this context, Mr. Ha Van Ut emphasised that the establishment and operation of HASI are significant in gathering, connecting, and enhancing the capacity of the supporting industry community. This extraordinary congress is viewed as a milestone, reflecting the spirit of solidarity, voluntariness, democracy, and transparency within enterprises, with the aim of strengthening internal resources, promoting self-reliance, and integrating more deeply into the global value chain.
