Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed deep gratitude for the Lao leadership's letters of sympathy and support regarding the difficulties and losses caused by recent natural disasters and floods in the northern and central provinces.
In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, Minister Le Hoai Trung highly appreciated the positive developments in the bilateral relations, affirming the desire for close cooperation to further deepen Vietnam-Laos collaboration. This aims to benefit the people of both countries and contribute to building a united and strong ASEAN Community.
Foreign Minister Thongsavanh Phomvihane once again congratulated Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung on his new position. Expressing delight at the positive development of Vietnam-Laos cooperation in recent times, the Lao Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the traditional Vietnam-Laos relationship and expressed the hope that Vietnam will continue to accompany and support Laos in its national development process.
The two Foreign Ministers agreed to continue close coordination to effectively implement agreements between the leaders of the two countries, prepare well for upcoming important high-level diplomatic activities, and promote comprehensive cooperation in all fields, especially in economy, trade, and investment. They aim to create breakthroughs in infrastructure connectivity, human resource development, digital transformation, and green transition.

Minister Le Hoai Trung stated that Vietnam is ready to share experience and support Laos in socio-economic development and achieving sustainable development goals.
Regarding cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries, the ministers agreed to effectively implement the signed Cooperation Agreement, organize ministerial-level political consultations, maintain political consultation mechanisms, and enhance the exchange of experiences in economic diplomacy and development diplomacy. They also aim to promote exchanges, including women's exchanges between the two Foreign Ministries, and train personnel to further deepen and sustain the bilateral relations across the three pillars of Party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy.
