On September 22, within the framework of the 81st United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week in New York, United States, Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung held a bilateral meeting with Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu.
The two Foreng Ministers highly appreciated the achievements both sides have attained recently. Minister Le Hoai Trung proposed that both sides enhance delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level ones; expand bilateral trade and investment cooperation, and collaborate in fields such as energy, manufacturing, digital transformation, high-tech agriculture, science and technology, artificial intelligence, energy, and agriculture.
The Romanian Foreign Minister valued the significant contributions of the Vietnamese community in Romania. Both ministers agreed to continue strengthening close coordination and mutual support at the United Nations within the ASEAN-EU cooperation framework, as well as to uphold the stance of respecting international law and promoting multilateralism.
Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung also held a bilateral meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

During the meeting, the two Foreign Ministers expressed their delight at the positive developments in the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and the UAE. Minister Le Hoai Trung proposed that both sides strengthen cooperation in various areas, including oil and gas reserves in Vietnam, and requested UAE support for Vietnam in negotiating the Vietnam-GCC Free Trade Agreement, as well as promoting investment in Vietnam in fields such as energy transition, data infrastructure, and transportation infrastructure.
Expressing agreement with Minister Le Hoai Trung's proposals, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister stated that he would discuss with relevant authorities to further promote the areas prioritized by both sides.
Discussing regional and international issues of mutual interest, the two ministers agreed to continue enhancing close coordination and mutual support at multilateral forums, particularly at the United Nations, and to uphold the stance of respecting international law and resolving disputes through peaceful means.
