Delegation from Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority visits Guangxi, China
From December 17-18, a delegation from the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority, led by Mr. Truong Manh Hung, Head of the Authority, visited the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).

During the visit, the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Nanning (China), organized an Investment Promotion Seminar for Quang Ninh Province.
The seminar was attended by representatives from the Guangxi Department of Commerce, the People's Government of Fangchenggang City, and nearly 100 businesses from both sides operating in investment, finance, construction, and industrial infrastructure development.
Speaking at the seminar, Vietnamese Consul General in Nanning Nguyen Thi Huong noted that the seminar was held in the context of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations in 2025, and shortly after the visit to Vietnam by the Chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Wei Tao.

This practical activity aims to realize the common understanding of the high-level leaders of both countries, contributing to promoting investment cooperation and strengthening business connections between Guangxi and Vietnamese localities, including Quang Ninh Province.
On this occasion, the Consul General urged the Guangxi Department of Commerce and the People's Government of Fangchenggang City to continue introducing and encouraging businesses with potential, high technology, and advanced, environmentally friendly standards to explore and implement specific investment projects in Quang Ninh. She also affirmed that the Vietnamese Consulate General in Nanning will continue to play a bridging role, closely coordinating with relevant agencies on both sides to support businesses in connecting partners, resolving obstacles, and promoting effective and sustainable investment cooperation.

At the seminar, Mr. Truong Manh Hung, Head of the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority, also introduced the outstanding potentials and advantages of Quang Ninh. He emphasized the province's strategic position in Vietnam-China economic cooperation, its open investment environment, synchronized infrastructure, and the orientation to attract new-generation FDI projects, high technology, renewable energy, logistics, and eco-smart industrial zones.
To date, Quang Ninh has attracted 234 FDI projects with a total registered capital of $17.3 billion, with investment from China accounting for over 45%. Currently, Quang Ninh is actively researching and promoting the implementation of new cooperation models such as building smart border gates, cross-border industrial cooperation zones, and the Mong Cai (Vietnam) – Dongxing (China) cross-border economic cooperation zone, creating new momentum for economic cooperation, investment, and value chain linkage between the two localities.

Representatives from the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's Department of Commerce at the seminar highly appreciated the economic and trade cooperation results between Guangxi and Vietnam, noting that Vietnam has been Guangxi's largest trading partner for 26 consecutive years.
The Guangxi Department of Commerce representatives also proposed enhancing cooperation through building cross-border economic cooperation zones, developing logistics chains, accelerating the construction of smart border gates, and expanding cooperation in agricultural processing, light industry, logistics, and cross-border tourism.
During the conference, representatives from DEEP C Quang Ninh, Texhong Hai Ha, Song Khoai (Amata), and Hai Yen (Viglacera) industrial zones introduced the investment environment, infrastructure, and projects calling for investment in Quang Ninh. Nature Health Development International Co., Limited, and Hai Ha Vietnam Industrial Zone Co., Ltd. signed a land lease agreement in principle, marking a specific cooperation result between businesses from both sides.

Additionally, the Quang Ninh Economic Zone Authority delegation held meetings with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Nanning, had talks with the Guangxi Department of Commerce, surveyed several industrial zones in Dongxing City, and explored the proposed sites for the smart border gate and cross-border industrial cooperation zone on the Guangxi side.
During their time in Guangxi, the delegation engaged in numerous practical and highly effective activities, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding and laying the foundation for promoting investment, trade cooperation, and business connections between Quang Ninh Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the future. This effort aims to create new momentum for investment cooperation, bringing tangible benefits to all parties and making a positive contribution to cooperation and development.
