The forum, organized by the Chongqing Council for the Promotion of International Trade, gathered over 100 delegates, including representatives from the Chongqing city government; Consuls General from various countries in Chongqing and Chengdu; representatives from several national Chambers of Commerce in Beijing, and leading enterprises in Chongqing (such as Tong Shen, Chongqing Electric, Chongqing Railway, Chongqing Construction Design Institute, etc.).
In his speech at the event, Consul General Bui Nguyen Long emphasized that Vietnam and China are friendly neighbors with shared mountains and rivers, and a strong traditional friendship. The Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership has maintained positive development momentum, especially following high-level visits in 2025 and 2026.
Notably, the year 2026 holds significant importance for both countries as China implements its “15th Five-Year Plan”, and Vietnam successfully organizes the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 16th National Assembly elections.

On this basis, Consul General Bui Nguyen Long proposed four directions for cooperation as follows:
First, enhance cooperation in the manufacturing industry, focusing on Chongqing's strong industrial sectors such as new energy, new materials, electronic information technology, automotive and motorcycle parts, and smart devices; promoting deep integration between the industrial and supply chains of both sides.
Second, strengthen cooperation in logistics and infrastructure, effectively utilizing the Western Land-Sea International Trade Corridor to enhance cross-border transport efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
Third, expand trade cooperation in agricultural and food products to meet the increasingly diverse market demands of both sides.
Fourth, expand investment cooperation in emerging fields such as green energy, digital economy, and high technology.
