Consulate General of Vietnam in Chongqing organizes seminar introducing Vietnam's investment environment

This event was organized by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Chongqing in collaboration with the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Chongqing and Chongqing Metallurgical Construction Group.
Attending the seminar were Vietnamese Consul General in Chongqing Bui Nguyen Long, Head of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Chongqing Trieu Thuy Nga, Chairman of Chongqing Metallurgical Construction Group Trinh Tien Van, along with leaders from over 30 companies affiliated with Chongqing Metallurgical Construction Group and China Steel Group.
In his speech at the seminar, Consul General Bui Nguyen Long introduced the new socio-economic development policies recently approved at the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, particularly the core content of the Four Pillar Resolutions on scientific-technological development, digital transformation; international integration in the ne`w context; innovation in law-making and enforcement; private economic development, as well as the fundamental aspects of the Three Strategic Breakthroughs, including strategic infrastructure development, high-quality human resource development, and institutional reform, which are expected to create new breakthroughs in attracting investment.

The Consul General emphasized: “Vietnam is entering a new development phase with innovative thinking and a long-term vision. Vietnam always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises, especially large, capable, and experienced groups like Chongqing Metallurgical Construction Group, to enhance investment in comprehensive, modern infrastructure fields and high-quality ecological environment development projects, in line with Vietnam's green and sustainable development orientation.”
Consul General Bui Nguyen Long affirmed that the Consulate General of `````````````````````````Vietnam in Chongqing will continue to closely coordinate with relevant agencies of both countries, accompanying enterprises in realizing strategic cooperation projects, especially in areas where both sides have strengths and complementary needs.

Meanwhile, a representative from the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Chongqing stated that the current investment environment in Vietnam is very attractive, highlighted by political stability, high economic growth, and open policies attracting FDI, especially in the fields of processing, manufacturing, high technology, and semiconductors.
With a young population, abundant human resources, and a series of new-generation free trade agreements (FTAs), Vietnam is becoming an ideal destination for foreign investors.
For their part, delegates from Chongqing Metallurgical Construction Group and China Steel Group shared insights on potential cooperation in infrastructure development, as well as proposed issues related to tax policy, cross-border investment procedures, environmental standards, and logistics connectivity between Chongqing and Vietnamese localities.
The delegates expressed high appreciation for Vietnam's recent institutional reforms and confidence in long-term cooperation prospects. It is expected that in the first half of 2026, Chongqing Metallurgical Construction Group will open an office in Hanoi to promote deeper cooperation between the two sides.
