Consul General Nguyen Trung Hieu: Enhancing local cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia in Preah Sihanouk Province
WVR - On October 26, on the occasion of assuming his duties in Preah Sihanouk and Southwest Cambodia, Consul General of Vietnam in Sihanoukville Nguyen Trung Hieu paid a courtesy call to Mr. Mang Sineth, Secretary of the CPP Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province.

During the meeting, Consul General Nguyen Trung Hieu expressed his gratitude for the attention and support from the CPP Provincial Party Committee, the Government, and the Provincial Council of Preah Sihanouk for the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sihanoukville. He expressed his desire to contribute more actively to promoting cooperation between Preah Sihanouk Province and Vietnamese localities in areas such as security, trade investment, agriculture, maritime economy, logistics, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Consul General Nguyen Trung Hieu requested that the CPP Provincial Party Committee and the Government of Preah Sihanouk facilitate stable business operations for the Vietnamese business community in the province and ensure long-term stability for the Vietnamese community residing there, contributing practically to the province's development.
For his part, Secretary of the CPP Provincial Party Committee and Governor Mang Sineth welcomed Consul General Nguyen Trung Hieu to his new role in Preah Sihanouk Province. He provided an overview of the province's infrastructure development and business investment environment, hoping to deepen cooperation in various fields with Vietnamese localities. Preah Sihanouk Province welcomes and invites Vietnamese investors to explore investment and business opportunities in the province.

The two sides also discussed technical cooperation in agriculture and fisheries.
The visit contributed to strengthening the relationship between the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sihanoukville and the CPP Provincial Party Committee, the Government, and the Provincial Council of Preah Sihanouk. It also advanced economic diplomacy efforts, positively contributing to promoting genuine friendship and cooperation between the localities of the two countries.
