The Consul General stated that this festival is not only an occasion to showcase the unique products of countries and localities in the Mekong - Lancang sub-region but also an opportunity to strengthen business connections, expand trade, and explore new areas of cooperation among countries.

The Consul General emphasised that Vietnam and Yunnan Province have many favourable conditions to promote economic and trade cooperation, especially in agriculture and agricultural trade. On this occasion, she introduced Vietnam's strengths in agricultural development, its capacity and potential to participate in supply chains, and agricultural production chains in the region and internationally. She proposed several cooperation directions to boost agricultural trade between Vietnam and Yunnan, as well as other countries in the Mekong sub-region. Accordingly, Vietnamese localities and Yunnan Province can jointly promote not only agricultural trade and fresh fruit trade but also expand cooperation in processing, preservation, logistics, cold storage, e-commerce, brand building, and cross-border agricultural supply chain development.
