Building on the results of the 4th term, the 5th Congress has set a new development direction for the 2026–2028 period, aiming to transform VNAS from a connection hub into a connected, professional, and sustainable community ecosystem. Accordingly, besides organizing meetings, exchanges, and member support activities, VNAS focuses on connecting knowledge, leveraging community resources, and creating values that can be passed on through generations.
To concretize this direction, the Congress approved the new term's operational direction with five action axes, corresponding to five specialized, dedicated committees.
Among them, the External Relations – Policy Committee focuses on enhancing the community's position, expanding connections with the homeland and the local society. The Science and Technology – Innovation Committee aims to connect experts, intellectuals, and high-quality resources, contributing to bringing knowledge into community activities.
The Education – Career Guidance Committee emphasizes developing an advisory network, creating career experience opportunities, and supporting the younger generation in orienting their future. The Culture – Community – Communication Committee is responsible for preserving Vietnamese identity, strengthening solidarity, and promoting a positive image of Vietnamese people in a multicultural environment.
Meanwhile, the Internal Affairs – Logistics – Finance Committee aims to standardize operations, data management, digital assets, and handover mechanisms, laying the foundation for stable, continuous, and long-term activities.
Along with determining the operational direction, the Congress introduced the Executive Committee of VNAS for the 5th term, consisting of 11 members. The organizational structure is oriented towards streamlining, clearly defining roles and titles, while maintaining the ability to expand to a maximum of 13 members during the term. This also provides the conditions for VNAS to continue discovering, nurturing, and developing the next generation, ensuring continuity in community activities.
Preserving community values, looking to the future
Behind the milestones in VNAS's development journey is the persistent contribution of many generations of members. Meetings after work, time dedicated to community work on weekends, along with efforts in event organization, logistics, communication, and connection have contributed to maintaining the Liaison Committee's activities.
The spirit of volunteerism, responsibility, and mutual trust are crucial factors that have helped VNAS build a foundation over the past 12 years. From these silent contributions, generations of members have gradually created a connected environment where Vietnamese people can share experiences, support each other in life, and work towards common goals.
With the direction for the 2026–2028 term, the requirement is to maintain existing activities while enhancing organizational efficiency, expanding community participation, and creating more opportunities for connection across professional fields.
The focus on science and technology, innovation, education, and career guidance demonstrates a direction to better leverage the potential of Vietnamese intellectuals, experts, and the younger generation in Singapore.
Alongside this, cultural, communication, and community connection work continues to play an important role in preserving Vietnamese identity, strengthening ties with the homeland, and promoting exchanges with the local society.

The 5th Congress concludes one journey while opening a new development phase for VNAS. On the foundation of over 12 years of building and connecting, along with the operational direction set for the 2026–2028 term, VNAS aims towards a more united Vietnamese community, deeply integrated, effectively leveraging intellectual resources, and nurturing meaningful values for future generations.
