On the same day, in Graz, Styria, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang met with the Chairman of the Styrian Communist Party, Styrian Member of Parliament Alexander Melinz, and representatives from the Graz Mayor's office, including Elke Kahr (also a member of the Austrian Communist Party).
During the meetings, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang provided updates on Vietnam's significant achievements during the 13th Congress term and 40 years of Renovation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Ambassador emphasized that the 14th National Congress of the Party is a major political event, crucial for summarizing 40 years of Renovation and determining Vietnam's future development in a new era. It focuses on three strategic breakthroughs: development institutions, human resources, and infrastructure, with a commitment to achieving the goal of becoming a modern industrialized, upper-middle-income country by 2030, and a high-income developed country by 2045.
In terms of foreign affairs, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang stated that Vietnam remains steadfast in its policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation, and development. The country aims to diversify and multilateralize its foreign relations, ensuring the highest national interests based on the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, promoting equal and mutually beneficial cooperation, being a friend, a reliable partner, and an active, responsible member of the international community, actively participating in addressing regional and global issues.

Chairman of the Austrian Communist Party Gunther Hopfgartner and Chairman of the Styrian Communist Party, Styrian Member of Parliament Alexander Melinz, recalled the history of the strong solidarity and support of the Austrian Communist Party for the Vietnamese people's national liberation struggle.
Mr. Alexander Melinz expressed admiration for Vietnam's success story under the strategic leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam over the past decades. He noted that it serves as an inspiration and a model for rapid, sustainable development centered on the people for many countries worldwide. He confidently believes that the 14th Congress will be a great success, ushering in a new era for Vietnam, characterized by peace, independence, prosperity, and happiness for the nation and its people.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Austrian Communist Party and the Styrian Communist Party presented Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang with a congratulatory letter for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, expressing their friendship, solidarity, joy, and eagerness to soon hear the results of the Congress.
Both sides discussed and agreed on several measures to promote cooperation, exchanges, and Party channel interactions in the coming time, such as organizing seminars, workshops, sharing information, hosting events to honour President Ho Chi Minh in Austria, and youth exchanges...
