The ASEAN Scholarships aim to provide opportunities for the young people of ASEAN to broaden their horizons and develop their potential as well as equip them with important skills such as leadership, communication and other life skills.

The ASEAN Scholarship for Viet Nam is valid for 4 years for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two leading to the award of a Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) or similar.

The Scholarship will provide an annual allowance with hostel accommodation; settling-in allowance; return economy class air passage; school fees and GCE O-Level and A-Level examination fees (once only, if applicable); subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover.

Interested students who meet the following eligibility criteria are strongly encouraged to apply online at the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) website:(https://www.moe.gov.sg/financial-matters/awards-scholarships/asean-scholarships/Viet Nam) by 23 April 2021.

Are nationals of Viet Nam;

Born between 2005 – 2007;

Currently in Grade 8, 9 or 10;

Have done consistently well in their examinations; and

Are proficient in English and have a good record of participation in co-curricular activities.

For students who wish to submit the hard copy of the completed application form directly to the Singapore MOE, they should do so before the closing date of 23 April 2021 at the following address:

Students who wish to seek the Embassy’s assistance in forwarding the hard copy application forms to Singapore MOE should submit them directly to the Embassy (not through the Viet Nam Ministry of Education and Training or local Departments of Education and Training) by 19 April 2021 at the following address:

Please note that there are 2 modes of application – online and hardcopy application. However, students are strongly encouraged to apply online and only one mode of application should be submitted to the Singapore MOE.
