During the meeting, both sides engaged in comprehensive and candid discussions on facilitating entry and residence for citizens of both countries; enhancing cooperation in citizen protection; promoting healthy international marriages; and sharing information on nationality laws and experiences in areas of mutual interest such as digital transformation and combating transnational fraud.
Amidst the continuously strengthened and expanded Vietnam-Republic of Korea cooperation, consular affairs and citizen protection are prioritized by both sides. These efforts continue to make practical contributions to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, serving the common interests of the people.

Since 2005, with 12 successful sessions, the Consular Consultation mechanism has proven to be an effective and substantive dialogue channel. It helps both sides better understand each other's policies and legal regulations, contributing to resolving issues arising in consular affairs. Additionally, it serves as an effective channel for exchanging experiences and information between the functional units of the two countries.

Both sides agreed on the necessity of maintaining and promoting this bilateral cooperation mechanism, especially in the context of increasing people-to-people exchanges, diverse consular affairs, and the need for continuous and close cooperation between specialized agencies.
