At the invitation of Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ma. Theresa Lazaro, ASEAN Chair for 2026, Politburo Member and Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung will attend the informal meeting of ASEAN Foreign Ministers, as well as the expanded informal consultation among ASEAN Foreign Ministers on Myanmar, in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 12, 2026, the Spokesperson said.
The meetings in Bangkok, Thailand, provide an opportunity for ASEAN Foreign Ministers to exchange views, enhance cooperation, and promote dialogue and reconciliation in Myanmar.
On July 12, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung is expected to meet with Myanmar's Foreign Minister, participate in the meeting among ASEAN Foreign Ministers within the framework of informal consultations, and engage in a number of other important diplomatic activities.
