Consular acceptance granted to new Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City
WVR - On May 6, Director General of the Consular Department Doan Hoang Minh presented the Consular Acceptance to Ms. Katherine Louise Grimmond, the new Consul General of Australia in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director General Doan Hoang Minh congratulated Ms. Katherine Louise Grimmond on her new position, expressing confidence that with her experience in diplomacy, investment, and trade, the new Consul General will actively contribute to the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Australia, as well as consular relations.
The Director General of the Consular Department emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Vietnamese authorities will continue to support and collaborate with the Consulate General, facilitating the new Consul General's successful tenure in Vietnam.
Director General Doan Hoang Minh urged Australia to continue facilitating exchanges and travel between the two countries and to actively cooperate in priority areas such as economy, trade, investment, and education and training.
New Australian Consul General Katherine Louise Grimmond thanked Director General Doan Hoang Minh for taking the time to meet and present the Consular Acceptance. Expressing delight at the positive developments in bilateral relations, Ms. Katherine Louise Grimmond appreciated the support provided by Vietnamese authorities to Australian representative offices and citizens in Vietnam.
