According to her, integrating into the local society does not mean forgetting one's roots. Vietnamese people can appreciate Dutch culture while preserving their national identity, thereby enriching community life. She also emphasized the Association's role in connecting, sharing, and encouraging each member to contribute according to their abilities.
The program featured musical performances and traditional costume displays. Performances of silk dances, conical hat dances, and the introduction of traditional costumes, folk costumes, and the ao tu than and ao dai brought many iconic images of Vietnamese culture to the attendees.
Notably, the performances included the participation of young Vietnamese children living and studying in the Netherlands. Costumes inspired by Dong Ho paintings, traditional attire, and regional outfits helped the younger generation better understand, love, and take pride in their roots.
Enhancing exchange and community bonds
In addition to artistic performances, the event organized a conical hat painting activity for children. Under the guidance of teachers, the children decorated hats with images of the red flag with a yellow star, flowers, and Vietnamese landscapes.
The oil painting exhibition space, featuring images of villages, lotus flowers, and Vietnamese people, also contributed to introducing the beauty of the country to international friends.
The exchange continued with songs, folk tunes, and love songs praising the homeland and country. The program was attended by Charge d'Affaires Le Gia Thinh and Trade Counselor Vo Thi Ngoc Diep, along with gift-giving activities and a lucky draw. The top prize was a pair of round-trip tickets to Vietnam, sponsored by Vietnam Airlines.
