Bringing Vietnamese identity closer to the digital public

WVR - From September 15 to October 31, the Identity Program is being held online, combining cultural content creation, digital media, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications, aiming to bring Vietnamese cultural values closer to the public, especially the younger generation.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has just launched the Identity Program, an online platform that integrates culture, digital media, and AI. The program is based on Plan No. 4724/KH-BVHTTDL dated July 30, 2026, by the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; organized by the Multimedia Communications Corporation (VTC) in collaboration with the Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The program aims to disseminate the content of Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, by the Politburo and Resolution No. 28/2026/QH16 dated April 24, 2026, by the National Assembly on cultural development. It also contributes to awakening patriotism and national pride within the community through expressions suitable for the digital environment.

Opening new approaches to Vietnamese culture

Identity is designed as a space for students and citizens across the country to share their experiences, perspectives, and unique approaches to Vietnamese culture.

Participants are encouraged to apply AI and digital technology in their creative processes, thereby discovering new ways to express themes related to Vietnamese history, art, heritage, tourism, and people.

The application of technology is required to ensure accuracy, truthfulness, and legal compliance. According to the Organizing Committee, the program aims to create a modern, fair, and objective online cultural platform, encouraging the public to explore national culture on digital platforms.

The website www.bansac.vn is designed as the space to host the entire program, from creation and competition participation to voting and interaction.

The voting and ranking system is based on interaction metrics such as views, likes, comments, and shares. Additionally, the quiz competition is conducted online with an interactive format.

AI is encouraged to be used in image creation, effects, and storytelling through visuals and sound. Materials such as heritage, festivals, cuisine, traditional costumes, or life stories can be explored in new expressive ways.

According to the program's orientation, technology is used as a creative support tool to bring traditional values closer to the contemporary public.

Two platforms for culture and knowledge

The program consists of two main components: the “Connecting Identity” Video Creation Contest and the “Understanding Identity” Quiz Contest.

The “Connecting Identity” contest is for short videos about Vietnamese culture. Participants can choose stories, experiences, and perspectives on Vietnamese history, art, heritage, tourism, and people. The Organizing Committee encourages the use of AI and digital technologies to create new forms of content while ensuring content accuracy and integrity.

Meanwhile, “Understanding Identity” is an online quiz competition about Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 28/2026/QH16, and knowledge about Vietnamese history, culture, art, heritage, tourism, and people. The content is designed to combine knowledge provision with interactive experiences.

The program is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners living, studying, and working in Vietnam, with no age, gender, or occupation restrictions.

From September 15 to October 31, the program runs on the website www.bansac.vn. The final awards are expected to be announced and presented in November 2026.

The total prize value is up to 100 million VND, excluding gifts and physical items, distributed across both components. The first prize for each competition is valued at 10 million VND. The quiz competition also features daily random gifts and weekly prizes.

The detailed prize structure is announced in the Program Regulations on the website www.bansac.vn. Information on the Regulations and Participation Guidelines is updated on the program's official website.
