The Vietnamese community in Singapore is currently a new generation of expatriates, boasting a high level of intellectual capacity. Instead of expanding on a large scale, VSIF 2026 is positioned as a gathering of elites, connecting leading Vietnamese experts in the region and around the world who are living and working in the Lion City.
The forum's highlight is the panel discussion "Core Technology Transfer and Solving National Challenges," focusing resources on priority sectors and bringing together experts: Associate Professor Luu Anh Tuan (Nanyang Technological University - NTU); Associate Professor Le Thi Nguyet Minh and Associate Professor Duong Minh Hai (National University of Singapore - NUS); Dr. Ha Son Tung (A*STAR); Dr. Luu The Loi (Kyber Network).
Here, top experts will convene to discuss and propose solutions to practical challenges from the National Innovation Center (NIC), the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and VinUni.
The discussions will focus on key areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor technology, quantum, biomedical technology, green materials, circular economy, blockchain, and innovative startups.
Representing the spirit of action, Le Anh Duc, an AI expert at Google APAC, will present the paper "Building the Vietnamese Knowledge Ecosystem" and directly introduce V-NEXUS – a technological solution developed by the Vietnamese Community Liaison Committee in Singapore in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training and domestic universities to enhance the connection of Vietnamese expert resources globally.
The forum is honored to receive a message from Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh (Guest of Honor) and profound insights from Professor Vu Minh Khuong (Senior Advisor), affirming the close cooperation between leadership levels and the community.
Sharing with TG&VN about the vision of VSIF 2026, Ta Thuy Lien, Head of the Vietnamese Community Liaison Committee in Singapore, emphasized that each overseas intellectual not only develops their personal career in an international environment but also acts as a "people's ambassador," playing a crucial role in Vietnam's global intellectual network.
According to her, the Vietnamese community in Singapore is a strategic endogenous resource, and VSIF 2026 aims to build a substantial bridge to directly transfer core technology, contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
With the theme "Connecting Vietnamese Intellectuals for National Scientific, Technological, and Innovative Development," VSIF 2026 will take place on May 23 at NUS. The event is expected to deeply connect knowledge and innovation, promoting scientific and technological cooperation between Vietnam and the global Vietnamese expert community.
