Vietnamese Embassy in Republic of Korea organizes Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony

WVR - On April 18, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea, in collaboration with the Global Vietnamese Ancestral Day Project Committee (VAG), solemnly organized the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony – a day of special sacred significance for the Vietnamese nation.

This is the first time this event has been organized at the Embassy, reflecting deep concern for the spiritual life of the Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea, while also contributing to preserving and spreading the traditional cultural values of the nation in the context of international integration.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of various departments of the Embassy, Vietnamese associations in Republic of Korea, and a large number of Vietnamese community members living, studying, and working in the Republic of Korea.

In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Vu Ho emphasized the historical significance and enduring value of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day – a symbol of national origins, the spirit of great unity, and profound gratitude to the ancestors who contributed to the nation's founding.

The Ambassador affirmed that throughout thousands of years of history with many ups and downs, the Vietnamese nation has resiliently overcome challenges to achieve independence, maintain peace, and is now entering a new phase of development with a strong aspiration for advancement.

On this basis, the Ambassador called on the Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea to continue promoting the tradition of unity, preserving national cultural identity, and protecting the honor and image of the country; while striving for deep integration and successful development in the host country, thereby making practical contributions to the development of the homeland and strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Republic of Korea.

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony at the Embassy took place in a solemn, warm, and meaningful atmosphere, contributing to community cohesion, awakening national pride, and fostering a sense of origin among Vietnamese people abroad.
