The 29th Travel and Vacation Show took place vibrantly over the past weekend, featuring the participation of the Embassy of Vietnam in Canada, representatives from diplomatic agencies, travel businesses, airlines, and numerous domestic and international tourism promotion units.
According to the organizers, this year's event gathered over 190 exhibition booths promoting tourism, including more than 60 international destinations and over 40 booths from Canadian localities such as Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, and the Northwest Territories.
This is one of the large-scale annual tourism promotion activities, providing opportunities for destinations, travel companies, resorts, cruise lines, and tourism service providers to directly reach the public.
The Embassy of Vietnam participated in this event with the spirit of widely and vigorously promoting the image of Vietnam as a must-visit destination of the new millennium.
With the collaboration of domestic travel companies and tour operators, the Vietnam tourism promotion booth made a particular impression through its information, display format, and way of providing information to visitors.
First Secretary in charge of Economic and Cultural Diplomacy Vu Quang Hiep stated that participating in the exhibition aims to introduce to international friends new, unique, and attractive tourism products of Vietnam, thereby contributing to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam and affirming the increasingly clear position of Vietnamese tourism on the world tourism map.
To prepare for the exhibition, the Embassy of Vietnam, along with domestic units and the overseas Vietnamese community, invested thoroughly in images, display artifacts, and informational materials for visitors. Many overseas Vietnamese were also present at the booth to introduce products and share close and practical information with the local market, thereby attracting Canadian tourists to explore and choose Vietnam as a destination in the near future.
Ms. Phan Quynh Trang, Director of the Canada-Vietnam Cultural and Educational Council, shared that the overseas Vietnamese community plays an important role in promoting Vietnamese tourism to the world. They are natural tourism ambassadors, introducing the image of Vietnam to international friends through real experiences of cuisine, customs, and stories about the country and people.
The collaboration between the Embassy, domestic units, and the Vietnamese community in Canada continues to demonstrate the increasingly clear role of the overseas Vietnamese as a bridge to promote the national image, goods, and services of Vietnam abroad.
This aligns with the spirit of Directive 11/CT-TTg issued on April 3, which emphasizes enhancing the mobilization of overseas Vietnamese to participate in introducing, consuming products, and developing distribution channels for Vietnamese goods abroad during the 2026-2030 period.
The organizers of the travel and vacation exhibition highly appreciate Vietnam's regular participation among foreign representatives over the years.

Mr. Robert Player, the organizer of the travel and vacation exhibition, stated that Vietnam is one of the international destinations that receives considerable interest from Canadian tourists, with more Canadians increasingly visiting Vietnam due to its appeal as a destination with diverse landscapes, culture, and the ability to experience a journey from North to South.
In the context of a world full of changes and the trend of Canadians choosing domestic travel, Vietnam's active participation has contributed to maintaining the presence of a dynamic international destination.
This event is not only an opportunity for Vietnam to introduce new tourism products but also a chance to strengthen connections with the local market, leveraging the role of the representative agency and the overseas Vietnamese community in promoting the national image.
