Vietnamese Consul General in Savannakhet congratulates Mr Thongsavanh Phomvihane on election to the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party
WVR - On the afternoon of October 9, at the headquarters of the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnamese Consul General in Savannakhet Nguyen Van Dung extended congratulations to Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, on his election to the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

During the meeting, Consul General Nguyen Van Dung extended his warmest and most sincere congratulations to Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane (Thong-xa-van Phom-vi-hane); affirming that being elected to the Politburo – the highest leadership body of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party – is a well-deserved recognition by the Party, State, and people of Laos for his significant contributions, intelligence, and dedication to the cause of building, defending, and developing the brotherly nation of Laos.
He expressed deep confidence that, in his esteemed roles as a Politburo Member, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Comrade will continue to leverage his capabilities, extensive experience, and leadership to guide the country and the Lao diplomatic sector towards achieving even greater accomplishments, thereby elevating Laos's position and prestige on the international stage. He believes Comrade will continue to make significant contributions to nurturing, fostering, and developing the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, Laos and Vietnam, “forever green and eternal.”

In his remarks, Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Vietnamese Consulate General in Savannakhet and Consul General Nguyen Van Dung for their visit and congratulations. He affirmed that the Party, State, and people of Laos always prioritize strengthening and developing the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion between Laos and Vietnam.
Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane acknowledged and highly appreciated the role and effective contributions of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Savannakhet, a strategic area connecting central Lao provinces with Vietnamese localities, in promoting increasingly profound bilateral cooperation.

He suggested that in the future, the Consulate General should continue to closely coordinate with the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs, relevant agencies, and localities to effectively implement high-level agreements between the two countries' leaders in the area, especially the cooperation agreements signed during the official visit to the Lao PDR by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung.
Consul General Nguyen Van Dung expressed his gratitude for the attention and guidance of Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane and committed to continuing efforts to fulfill assigned tasks, further deepening the great friendship, special solidarity, and strategic connection between Vietnam and Laos.
