A ceremony to announce a list of 529 Vietnamese businesses with high-quality products in 2024 was held in Ho Chi Minh City on March 14.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai congratulated the wining businesses and highly valued their contributions to the city’s socio-economic development in recent years.

He also hailed that over the past 28 years, the programme has helped improve the quality of Vietnamese goods and national competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.

Among the businesses, 32 have been included on the list for 28 consecutive years since the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Programme was launched, while 16 have entered the list for the first time — with most of them being food supply businesses whose products have achieved OCOP certification.

The winning businesses were voted by customers and retailers in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho City.

The Business Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Products, the event’s organisers, also hosted an online vote which received feedback from over 70,000 consumers across the country.
