During the audience at the credentials presentation ceremony, the Albanian President highly valued the longstanding Vietnam-Albania relationship over the past 75 years. President Bajram Begaj congratulated Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong on her new role, expressing confidence that with her experience, she will elevate bilateral cooperation to new heights during her tenure as a bridge between the two countries.
Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong conveyed the warm regards of the Vietnamese leaders to the Albanian President, Government, and people of Albania. She affirmed Vietnam's appreciation for the support and assistance Albania provided during Vietnam's struggle for national independence. The Ambassador expressed hope that the strong relationship between Vietnam and Albania will continue to be strengthened and expanded across various fields, meeting the aspirations of both nations, especially as they celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations.
On the occasion of presenting her credentials in Albania, from October 21-23, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong paid a courtesy call to Albanian Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi and held meetings with the Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation of Albania; the Director of Protocol, the Director of Economic, Cultural Diplomacy, and Albanians Abroad at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania; the Director General of the Albanian Development and Investment Agency; the CEO of the Albanian Investment Corporation; and the President of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Vietnamese Embassy hosted a reception in Tirana to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-Albania diplomatic relations. The event was attended by representatives from Albanian ministries and agencies, ambassadors, representatives from various countries and international organizations, as well as Albanian businesses and friends.
