Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives Copy of Credentials from newly appointed Egyptian Ambassador to Vietnam

WVR - On the afternoon of October 3, in Hanoi, Director General of the State Protocol and External Interpretation Department Pham Binh Dam received Mr. Mohamed Mostafa Hassan, who presented the Copy of the Credentials for his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

During the meeting, Director General Pham Binh Dam extended warm congratulations to Ambassador Mohamed Mostafa Hassan on his new assignment, expressing confidence that during his tenure in Vietnam, the Ambassador would serve as an important bridge contributing to the further strengthening and deepening of the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

The Director General emphasized that Vietnam and Egypt have maintained a foundation of mutual trust and friendship for more than 60 years. Cooperation in various areas, including politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, education, and culture has produced positive results. Vietnam hopes to continue exploring potential and expanding cooperation with Egypt in fields of shared strength and interest, particularly trade, tourism, agriculture, and renewable energy, as well as to enhance coordination and mutual support at international and multilateral forums.

For his part, Ambassador Mohamed Mostafa Hassan expressed his honor at being appointed as Egypt’s Ambassador to Vietnam. He commended Vietnam’s impressive socio-economic achievements and its growing international standing, affirming his commitment to contributing to the practical and effective development of the friendly relations and cooperation between Egypt and Vietnam for the benefit of the peoples of both nations, and for peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
