On the morning of October 8, at the Presidential Palace of Iraq, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Iraq Nguyen Luong Ngoc formally presented his Letter of Credence to President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.

During the meeting following the credential presentation ceremony, President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid expressed his delight at the positive development of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Iraq, particularly highlighting the reopening of the Iraqi Embassy in Vietnam. The President expressed confidence that the traditional friendship between the two countries would continue to flourish across various fields, fully tapping into the potential of both sides.

Praising Iraq’s rich cultural heritage and its significant contributions to human civilization, Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc congratulated the Iraqi government and people on their achievements in maintaining political stability and rebuilding the country.

As part of his working visit, Ambassador Nguyen Luong Ngoc also paid a courtesy call on Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Mohammed Hussein, engaged with the Vietnamese community in Iraq, and held exchanges with several resident ambassadors in Iraq's capital, Baghdad.
