Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong presents Letter of Credentials to the President of Ecuador

WVR - On August 14, at the Carondelet Presidential Palace in Quito, Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong presented the Letter of Credentials of President Luong Cuong to President of the Republic of Ecuador Daniel Noboa, officially assuming his post as Ambassador of Vietnam to Chile and concurrently to Ecuador.

On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong also presented a copy of the Letter of Credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Humanitarian Affairs of Ecuador Gabriela Sommerfeld.

At the meetings, Ecuadorian leaders sent their regards to the President of Vietnam and highly appreciated the Vietnam-Ecuador cooperation relationship; expressed the wish that the two countries increase delegation exchanges, trade, investment, tourism cooperation and exchange of development experiences in areas of common interest such as agriculture, fisheries, textiles and manufacturing.

At the Letter of Credentials Presentation Ceremony, President Daniel Noboa highly appreciated Vietnam's impressive achievements in the cause of innovation, development and international integration.

Emphasizing the important role of Vietnam in the Asia-Pacific region and the world, President Daniel Noboa hoped that the two countries will become closer and believed that the bilateral relationship will continue to have new developments.

President Daniel Noboa expressed his hope that Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong will actively contribute to promoting the Vietnam-Ecuador friendship and wished the Ambassador a successful term.

Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong conveyed the greetings of the Vietnamese high-ranking leaders and the invitation of President Luong Cuong to visit Vietnam to President Daniel Noboa.

Emphasizing that the Vietnam-Ecuador relationship is developing positively and has great potential to promote cooperation in various fields, the Ambassador affirmed that the focus of his term is to contribute to deepening the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld welcomed Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong to Ecuador, saying that this was the first time she had welcomed a Vietnamese Ambassador to the headquarters of the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld expressed her admiration for the glorious history of the Vietnamese people, emphasizing that Vietnam is an important partner of Ecuador in the Asia-Pacific region; and suggested that the two sides increase delegation exchanges, especially at high levels.

In addition to promoting bilateral relations, the Minister also suggested that Vietnam and Ecuador continue to cooperate and actively support each other at multilateral forums in the coming time.
