During the meeting, Ambassador Vu Trung My provided an overview of Vietnam's situation, its socio-economic development process, international integration, achievements in the renovation process, and the tourism development orientation for the 2026-2030 period. The focus is on transforming tourism into a high-quality, sustainable spearhead economic sector, aiming to attract 45-50 million international visitors by 2030.

Ambassador Vu Trung My informed Minister of Tourism Daniella Cabello about Vietnam's successful organization of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam in January 2026.
He also mentioned the successful organization by the National Assembly of Vietnam, which elected the country's key leaders, including the President, Prime Minister, and National Assembly Chairperson for the upcoming term.
Emphasizing the consistent policy of the Party and State of Vietnam, which always values the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership with Venezuela, Ambassador Vu Trung My expressed the desire for the two countries to further promote tourism cooperation.

Highlighting the role and responsibility of the Vietnamese Representative Missions in Venezuela in supporting and promoting bilateral cooperation in all fields, including tourism, Ambassador Vu Trung My affirmed his utmost efforts to serve as a bridge and promote tourism cooperation between the two nations based on the potential and strengths of each side.
Minister of Tourism Daniella Cabello warmly congratulated the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026) and Vietnam's successful organization of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the National Assembly of Vietnam, which elected the country's key leaders.
She expressed joy over the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between Venezuela and Vietnam, cultivated by the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez and Vietnamese leaders, which continues to develop positively. She admired Vietnam's significant achievements in socio-economic development.
Minister Daniella Cabello emphasized that the Venezuelan government currently views tourism as one of the strategic pillars for economic diversification. Thanks to the Venezuelan government's sound policies, especially increased investment in tourism, the service scale has expanded, and the number of tourists has grown impressively in recent times, continuing to make breakthroughs in the future.

Highly appreciating Vietnam's tourism development experience, which has undergone an impressive journey from an emerging destination to a shining star on the global tourism map.
Particularly welcoming the recent participation of many Vietnamese travel companies in events organized by the Venezuelan government, especially the annual Venezuela International Tourism Fair (FITVEN) and the International Forum on Ecotourism... to explore the market, meet partners, and expand the market, contributing to promoting people-to-people exchanges and enhancing mutual understanding between Vietnam and Venezuela.
Regarding future bilateral cooperation, Minister Daniella Cabello confirmed her participation in the 20th Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Expo (ITE HCMC 2026) from August 27-29, considering it an opportunity to create a space for connection and expand international cooperation. She aims to introduce to international friends the potential, strengths, rich natural landscapes, and the image of a peace-loving, hospitable country.
Minister Daniella Cabello emphasized that the political trust, emotional bonds, and solidarity between the two countries and peoples are crucial foundations for tourism exchange and cooperation activities despite geographical distance challenges.
She suggested that both sides leverage their tourism development potential and advantages, continue to promote deeper cooperation, aim to increase visitor exchanges, cooperation in promotion and advertising, and committed to being ready to accompany and provide maximum support to facilitate cooperation activities, delegation exchanges, tour-route connections, and sharing sustainable tourism development experiences.
