WVR - From November 27 to December 1, the 18th Venezuela International Tourism Fair (FITVEN 2025) took place in the coastal city of Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state. The event saw the participation of 3,000 Venezuelan tourism businesses and travel companies from 35 countries and territories, including 7 tourism enterprises from Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Venezuela's Minister of Tourism Leticia Gómez emphasized that FITVEN 2025 is the most important event for the country's tourism sector. It creates a space for connection and expanding international cooperation, affirming Venezuela's desire to showcase its potential, strengths, rich natural landscapes, and the image of a peace-loving, hospitable nation to the world.

Meanwhile, Daniella Cabello, Chairwoman of the National Brand of Venezuela, stated that FITVEN 2025 is the largest fair ever organized. The event not only introduces tourism opportunities in all 24 states across the country but also expands into areas of economic – trade, agriculture, industry, culture, and investment cooperation.

At the event, representing the Vietnamese delegation, Ambassador Vu Trung My expressed sincere gratitude to the Venezuelan government for their warm reception and for inviting Vietnamese travel businesses to participate. The Ambassador emphasized that the participation of Vietnamese enterprises at FITVEN not only reflects the traditional friendship between the two countries but also opens up opportunities to establish new connections, gradually building a bridge for bilateral tourism cooperation.

According to Ambassador Vu Trung My, Vietnamese travel businesses bring to FITVEN a spirit of cooperation and goodwill to expand the market, contributing to promoting people-to-people exchanges and enhancing mutual understanding between Vietnam and Venezuela.

During a meeting with the Vietnamese delegation, Venezuela's Minister of Tourism Leticia Gómez highly appreciated the presence of Vietnamese travel businesses in Venezuela during this period to explore the market, meet partners, and discover cooperation potentials. This is a vivid expression of the trust and goodwill for cooperation between the two nations across the Pacific Ocean.

Minister Gómez expressed her hope that after FITVEN 2025, Vietnamese businesses will become an important bridge to bring Vietnamese tourists to Venezuela and vice versa. The Venezuelan government, through the Ministry of Tourism, is committed to providing maximum support to facilitate cooperation activities, exchange delegations, connect tours – routes, professional training, and share experiences in sustainable tourism development.

Sharing with the media during FITVEN 2025, Mr. Cao Hoai Vi, Director of Migola Travel Company, praised the host country's organization: “Despite Venezuela facing many challenges, FITVEN was organized very methodically, professionally, and created a sense of safety for international delegations.

Mr. Vi stated that attending FITVEN allows Vietnamese businesses to directly access the local partner network, transportation – accommodation units, and local tourism agencies; while also gaining deeper insights into the culture, cuisine, and lifestyle of the Venezuelan people.

The press and local media highly appreciated Vietnam's participation in the 18th Venezuela International Tourism Fair (FITVEN 2025), which has opened up cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and Venezuelan travel businesses in particular and Latin America in general, thereby contributing to promoting tourist exchanges between Vietnam and countries in the region.

Within the framework of FITVEN 2025 activities, the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela introduced international and local friends attending the Fair to the distinctive features of Vietnamese culture and tourism, highlighting its richness and uniqueness through heritage, festivals, street food, and the hospitality of the Vietnamese people.
