The immersive multimedia art program, The Flow of Evolution, was recently held in Hanoi, featuring numerous artists from various creative fields. This event marked the conclusion of nearly a year of the EU's "Plug in to Evolution" campaign in Vietnam.
Held at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, with nearly 500 guests in attendance, The Flow of Evolution was the culmination of a symbolic journey through the three elements of Wind, Water, and Sun of the campaign.
Under the artistic direction of stage director Cao Trung Hieu, the program combined music, dance, visual arts, and theatrical language to create a multi-sensory artistic experience, prompting audiences to reflect on the relationship between humans, nature, and sustainable development.
Structured into three chapters – Wind, Water, and Sun – the program guided the audience through a transformative journey, from the initial sparks of change to resilient adaptation, and finally, a vision of a sustainable future nurtured by knowledge and skills.
The Wind chapter opened with performances by Suboi, WEAN, and marzuz. It was followed by the Water chapter, expressed through the energetic movements of Last Fire Crew. The final chapter, Sun, concluded with a fusion of visual arts, technology, and music, featuring a special collaboration between singer Hong Nhung and Fustic. Studio.
Throughout the program, contemporary dance performances by Arabesque Vietnam seamlessly connected the three chapters into a continuous narrative, creating a cohesive and emotionally rich artistic whole.
More than just a closing event for the campaign, The Flow of Evolution was also an opportunity to reflect on the milestones achieved by "Plug in to Evolution" – from collaborative art projects and digital storytelling content to open dialogues on climate action, skill development, and green transition.
Speaking at the event, EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier stated that over the past year, the "Plug in to Evolution" campaign has reflected the EU's commitment to accompanying Vietnam on its green transition journey.
According to the Ambassador, through the Global Gateway strategy, the European Union has invested in clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, and the skills that Vietnam's young generation needs for the future. However, the Ambassador also acknowledged that a successful green transition cannot be driven solely by investment but also depends on people – their imagination, creativity, and willingness to embrace change.
“What began as an ambitious creative idea has now become a meaningful shared journey, connecting artists, young people, partners, and the public to explore how creativity can spark dialogues about clean energy, sustainable development, and the future we wish to create together,” said Ambassador Julien Guerrier.

Over nearly a year, the "Plug in to Evolution" campaign has utilized art and creative storytelling forms to spread messages about partnership, climate action, skill development, and green growth.
With the participation of Creative Director Phuong Vu, Curator Bach Vu, artists WEAN, marzuz, Last Fire Crew, Fustic. Studio, and a network of content creators, the campaign has transformed the symbols of Wind, Water, and Sun into various creative experiences implemented across Vietnam.
The campaign brought together 10 artists and 9 content creators, organized 12 events and creative activities, attracting over 8,600 direct participants and reaching 35 million engagements on digital platforms. These results demonstrate the power of creativity in sparking meaningful dialogues about climate, skill development, and sustainable growth.
| The Global Gateway is the EU's strategy to build sustainable, reliable, and high-quality connections that bring long-term benefits to people and the planet. Implemented through a Team Europe approach, the strategy aims to mobilize up to 300 billion Euros in public and private investment from 2021 to 2027. In Vietnam, the Global Gateway strategy is supporting several key projects, including the Tra Vinh Offshore Wind Power Project and the Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower Project. |
