State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate down 12 VND at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,944 VND/USD on May 5, down 12 VND from the day before the April 30 - May 1 holidays.

The daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar is set at 24,944 VND/USD on May 5.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,191 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,697 VND/USD.

At 8:25 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw light increases.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,830 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,190 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from April 29.

BIDV also raised both rates by 10 VND, posting the buying rate at 25,820 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,180 VND/USD.
