FD 2026: Ho Chi Minh City seeks to enhance experience exchange, expand connections, and create new cooperation opportunities

During the meeting with Chairwoman of the Santiago de Cuba Provincial People's Council Enai Diamela Palacios Acosta, Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Loc Ha highly appreciated the friendly, united, and trustworthy relationship between the two localities, noting that there is still significant potential for cooperation in the future.

Based on the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by both parties in 2007, Ho Chi Minh City aims to foster relations with Santiago de Cuba in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, transportation, port logistics, and renewable energy, thereby gradually turning cooperation agreements into concrete, practical programs.

In discussions with Governor of Kratie Province Va Than, Nguyen Loc Ha emphasized the importance of maintaining and enhancing the close relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodian localities, while suggesting that both sides better exploit their complementary potentials and strengths.

Trade, agriculture, and agricultural processing are identified as areas with significant prospects, along with strengthening business connections and investment and trade promotion activities to create further momentum for economic cooperation between the two localities.

In a meeting with Phouvong Ounkhamsen, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Xieng Khouang Provincial People's Council, Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Loc Ha discussed directions to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between the two localities, especially in investment promotion, trade, agriculture, renewable energy, and sharing public administration management experiences.

Both sides also agreed to continue coordinating the implementation of cooperation activities that align with each side's potential and advantages, thereby contributing to strengthening the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Loc Ha affirmed that in the process of integration and development, the city always values expanding and deepening its network of relationships with localities and international partners on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, and aiming for specific results.

Through FD 2026, the city seeks to enhance experience exchange, expand connections, and create new cooperation opportunities that align with the development orientations and strengths of each locality.

International local leaders highly appreciated the host city's role in connecting, expressing their desire to continue concretizing signed agreements, and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, contributing to deepening, substantive, and effective relations between Ho Chi Minh City and other localities.
