At the end of June and early July 2019, Ha Tinh suffered from the largest scale forest fire in history, causing great damages to forests and the environment, seriously affecting the lives of the people.
With the desire to share the difficulties with the people whose livelihood got damaged during the fire disater, SeABank decided to donate 74,400 trees to 47 households in Hong Linh mountain area, Xuan Hong commune, Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh province, including 62,600 cajuput trees and 11,800 eucalyptus trees.
These trees will be planted by the people, replacing trees in the fire-damaged area of 90ha. These are 2 types of trees that are easy to plant, fast growing, highly adaptable. It will help the people to soon offset the fire forest area, improve the nature and their livelihoods.
Throughout its development, in line with its business goals, SeABank always focuses on activities related to social security, environmental protection and sustainable development, such as: organizing a series of annual run called “SeABank Run For The Future”, charity programs to provide for children in need, giving houses to war veterans and poor people...
Following these meaningful activities, in 2019, SeABank launched and implemented a series of activities to protect the environment named “Let's Go Green with SeABank" with many practical actions, in which tree planting – afforestation is an important part.
With these activities, SeABank wanted to widely spread the awareness to protect the environment, live in a more environmentally responsible way, starting from the smallest actions, to our customers, and also the community.
