Run for Vietnam - Every step, a hope from the Vietnamese community in Australia

WVR - On October 25 in Perth, Australia, hundreds of Vietnamese and international friends participated in the "Run for Viet Nam 2025" event to raise funds supporting compatriots in overcoming the aftermath of floods.

"Run for Viet Nam 2025" is a community fundraising program initiated by the Australian Vietnamese Talent Network (AVTN), led by President Hannah Huyen Vu.

The fundraising run attracted a large participation of overseas Vietnamese, students, and researchers in Perth.

The event took place at Sir James Mitchell Park, offering a stunning view of Perth's skyline, an ideal spot for everyone to exercise, connect, and spread the spirit of kindness.

From early morning, people of all ages gathered at the park. Energetic youths, parents holding their children's hands, and the elderly warmed up together, chanting "Run for Viet Nam!".

Organized for the first time by AVTN, the program carries the humanitarian spirit of the Vietnamese community in Australia.

Throughout the event, despite the unfavorable weather, the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participants braved the cold rain to complete the route along the Swan River.

Participants braved the cold rain to conquer the 2km and 4km milestones.

The weather did not dampen spirits but instead inspired and reminded everyone of the harsh conditions and difficulties faced by Vietnamese compatriots after recent storms No. 10 and 11.

This motivation aims to spread positive energy, with hopes that "Run for Viet Nam 2025" can warm the hearts of compatriots back home.

The event serves as a bridge connecting the hearts of overseas Vietnamese to their homeland.

Sharing at the event, Vietnamese Consul General in Perth Nguyen Thanh Ha stated that the event serves as a bridge connecting the hearts of overseas Vietnamese to their homeland.

"Every step carries a message of care, love, and responsibility from those living abroad. It reminds us that geographical distance does not diminish the love for our homeland and the commitment to help compatriots in need," emphasized Nguyen Thanh Ha.
