Celebrating Vietnamese Women's Day in Belarus: Promoting solidarity and community cohesion
WVR - On October 20, in the capital city of Minsk, the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus and the Vietnamese Association in Belarus co-organized a celebration of Vietnamese Women's Day, continuing a series of events honouring and connecting the Vietnamese community in Belarus in 2025.

The event was attended by representatives of the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Association, numerous women and female students living, studying, and working in Belarus, as well as the entire staff of the Embassy.
In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Nguyen Van Trung conveyed the warm regards and congratulations from the Party and State leaders to the Vietnamese Association and the Women's Association of the community.
He acknowledged and praised the many meaningful and practical activities of the Vietnamese Association, with women at the core, in maintaining and promoting community solidarity, preserving and upholding the traditional cultural identity.
The Ambassador expressed special gratitude to the community for their contributions to fundraising efforts supporting compatriots in Vietnam affected by storms and floods, showcasing the precious spirit of national solidarity.
On behalf of the Community, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association Truong Cong Dao expressed gratitude to the Party, State leaders, and the Vietnamese Embassy for their continuous support and care for the community's life, truly serving as a home of national unity in Belarus.
The Vietnamese Association expressed their hope that the Embassy will continue to support the Association in organizing community exchange activities, thereby creating meaningful platforms to foster solidarity, mutual support, and always looking towards the homeland, nurturing the friendship and unity between the peoples of the two countries.
The Women's Association, with the core being the dance team and Vietnamese language class, presented special cultural performances at the event. The traditional ao dai, radiant smiles, sweet voices, and fresh flowers at the celebration vividly depicted the joyful and cheerful atmosphere of women across the country on Vietnamese Women's Day.
With a majority of members in the Vietnamese Association in Belarus, the Women's Association has engaged in many meaningful activities, from unique cultural programs to teaching and learning Vietnamese, charitable activities, and mutual support. These efforts significantly contribute to the development of the Vietnamese community movement in Belarus, where life remains challenging due to sanctions and the impact of armed conflicts in neighboring countries.
The Women's Association has demonstrated the role, strength, and resilient spirit of Vietnamese women, overcoming all difficulties to maintain family warmth, strong community bonds, and the beautiful values of our nation in this distant Central-Eastern European country.
