Reference exchange rate at 25,246 VND/USD, up 6 VND on September 3

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,246 VND/USD on September 3, up 6 VND from August 29, the last working day before the National Day holiday.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,508 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,984 VND/USD.

At 8:05 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks also went up.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 26,162 VND/USD, up 20 VND from August 29 morning, and the selling rate unchanged, at 26,502 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, BIDV raised the buying rate by 13 VND to 26,183 VND/USD and maintained the selling rate at 26,502 VND/USD.
