During a meeting with Saif Malik, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank in the UK, General Secretary To Lam praised the effective financial and banking cooperation between Vietnam and the UK in recent times. He expressed hope that the bank would continue to share insights, provide advice, and support Vietnam in becoming a regional financial hub.
Thanking the bank for its assistance in the recent upgrade of Vietnam's stock market, General Secretary To Lam urged Standard Chartered to support the elevation of Vietnam's credit rating and assist in the successful issuance of upcoming bonds, thereby helping Vietnam mobilize capital at reasonable costs.

Saif Malik expressed his honor to meet the General Secretary and his delight that Standard Chartered has been present in Vietnam for over 120 years. He praised the Party's sound policies in stabilizing the macroeconomy and promoting sustainable growth, which have strengthened business and investor confidence. Agreeing with the General Secretary's view on the financial sector's shift towards Asia, Saif Malik reaffirmed his commitment to investing and contributing to Vietnam's prosperity.

In a meeting with Chris Drewer, Senior Vice President for Asia-Pacific at Airbus Group, General Secretary To Lam commended the successful business cooperation between the Group and Vietnamese partners, which has significantly contributed to the robust, independent, and comprehensive development of Vietnam's aerospace industry.
Highlighting Vietnam's efforts to expand its aviation sector to meet increasing travel demands and deeper international integration, the General Secretary urged the group to continue enhancing cooperation with Vietnamese airlines. This includes expanding the supply chain and manufacturing Airbus aircraft equipment in Vietnam, collaborating on human resource training, and focusing on aircraft engine maintenance. He also suggested establishing an Airbus center in Vietnam to provide passenger and cargo transport services and maintenance. Additionally, he encouraged facilitating direct negotiations for Vietnamese airlines to sign aircraft purchase contracts.

On behalf of Airbus Group, Chris Drewer affirmed the commitment to remain a key partner of Vietnam, expressing a desire to supply more aircraft to Vietnamese airlines and expand cooperation into areas such as helicopters, military aircraft, scientific and technological collaboration, and satellites.

Subsequently, in a meeting with Helen Wilson, Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Rolls-Royce Group, General Secretary To Lam praised the group's capabilities and experience as one of the world's leading industrial corporations, particularly in aviation.
He proposed that the group continue collaborating with Vietnam to research sustainable aviation fuels, train high-quality human resources, and transfer aerospace technology to Vietnamese partners. In the immediate future, he suggested expediting the establishment of a Rolls-Royce engine maintenance center in Vietnam. The General Secretary assured that favourable conditions would be created for businesses to invest and operate smoothly in Vietnam.
