The event aims to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the National Liberation Front of Southern Vietnam (December 20, 1960 - December 20, 2025), celebrate the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, mark the era of national resurgence, and commemorate the 53rd anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Accords (January 27, 1973 - January 27, 2026).
Unable to attend the opening ceremony, former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh sent her gratitude and expressed her emotion as the exhibition opened on the exact day of the Paris Peace Accords signing 53 years ago.
Madame Nguyen Thi Binh shared that when reflecting on her journey, she does not think of it as the journey of one woman, but of many women during a time of national upheaval. At the Paris Conference, the presence of women from the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam at the negotiation table illustrated this.
She hopes that through this exhibition, young people will understand that peace is not something to be taken for granted, but must be continuously protected, strengthened, and promoted by the entire nation and every citizen for the country's development and the happiness of its people.

The special exhibition on Nguyen Thi Binh is not just a reflection on a historical journey, but more importantly, an opportunity to deeply appreciate the spirit of national unity - a consistent value throughout the Vietnamese revolution and a red thread intertwined with Nguyen Thi Binh's life and career.
The event serves as a meaningful cultural-educational activity, honoring and expressing gratitude for the remarkable contributions of former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh - an outstanding symbol of diplomacy for independence, peace, and international solidarity.
The exhibition is not merely a commemorative activity highlighting a journey intertwined with the nation, but a chance to send a special message to the youth about the contributions of many generations, especially women and young people, to the sacred mission of national liberation, peace restoration, and unification, paving the way for the pursuit of freedom and happiness for the people - a noble idea to which Nguyen Thi Binh dedicated her life.
Running until April 30, the exhibition "Nguyen Thi Binh - Wisdom, courage, and character of Vietnamese women in the Ho Chi Minh era" vividly portrays the role and contributions of Nguyen Thi Binh and many Vietnamese women through selected documents, images, artifacts, and multimedia, from revolutionary engagement, the Paris Conference to contributions for peace and education post-1975. The interactive space "Live like her" invites the public to leave inspiring marks, with a bilingual Vietnamese-English display, incorporating digital technology such as interactive screens, documentary films, and QR codes.

According to the organizers, the exhibition consists of four main sections. Part 1 "From family tradition to revolutionary ideals" portrays the portrait of a student from Saint Coeur de Marie School, the granddaughter of patriot Phan Chau Trinh, who was early enlightened and embarked on the path of national liberation struggle.
Part 2 "Madame Binh - The wisdom and diplomatic courage of Vietnam" recreates historical moments at the Paris Conference on Vietnam (1968-1973), where "the only woman to sign the Paris Agreement" earned global admiration with her resolute yet flexible, dialogical, and compassionate demeanor.
In Part 3 "Devotion to the nation", the exhibition highlights Madame Nguyen Thi Binh's contributions and dedication to education, diplomacy, and health, cultural, and social affairs as Minister of Education (1976-1987), Deputy Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Committee and Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee (1987-1992), and Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1992-2002).
Part 4 "Enduring legacy" depicts Madame Nguyen Thi Binh's simple, compassionate image in everyday life and her role in founding and leading peace, cultural, and educational foundations.

Speaking at the opening of the special exhibition, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Truong Thi Bich Hanh said that today's special exhibition on Madame Nguyen Thi Binh is not merely a historical reenactment but, more importantly, an affirmation of the spirit of national unity - a consistent value throughout the Vietnamese revolution and a red thread intertwined with Nguyen Thi Binh's life and career.
This spirit of unity has been nurtured and developed through various historical phases, through different forms of national fronts, and continues to evolve in the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front today.
In this grand historical and revolutionary flow of Vietnam, Madame Nguyen Thi Binh is a representative figure. She is not only an outstanding diplomat at the Paris Conference but also a vivid symbol of people-to- people diplomacy - a diplomacy built on sincerity, compassion, and deep faith in humanity.
"Therefore, today's special exhibition conveys a significant message: the strength of national unity lies in the ability to heal, dialogue, and build sustainable peace, creating conditions for building and developing the country, and creating happiness for the people," emphasized Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh.
