MOFA's 20th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union: Building a generation of courageous, intelligent and modern youth
WVR - On the afternoon of November 28, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Working building, the 20th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, term 2025 - 2030, held its formal session.

Representing the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were Ms Le Thi Thu Hang, Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr Nguyen Xuan Anh, Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Chief of the Party Committee Office - Ministry of Foreign Affairs Union.
Also attending the congress were Deputy Secretary of the Government Youth Union Vu Huy Hoang, and Member of the Executive Committee of the Government Youth Union Bui Dinh Hieu.
The 20th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, term 2025 – 2030, takes place as the youth nationwide are actively celebrate the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, moving towards the Government Youth Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, and the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026 – 2031.

In his opening speech, Member of the Government Youth Union Executive Committee, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Youth Union Nguyen Dong Anh, stated that with the action slogan "Diplomatic Youth: Proud – Aspiring – Innovative", the 20th Congress aims to focus on summarizing and objectively and comprehensively evaluating the implementation of the 19th Congress Resolution. It aims to highlight achievements, identify limitations, draw lessons, and set goals, directions, and feasible solutions to continue innovating and improving the quality of Youth Union work.

Speaking at the congress, Deputy Secretary of the Government Youth Union Vu Huy Hoang fully agreed with the contents presented in the Political Report and the Review Report of the 19th Executive Committee. The reports provided a frank and comprehensive assessment of achievements, identified limitations, and drew valuable lessons for the upcoming term.

The Deputy Secretary emphasized that the youth of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must truly be the leading, pioneering, and creative force, ready to think, act, and take responsibility to contribute to building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy.
The Deputy Secretary highlighted several key tasks for the Congress to discuss: (1) The youth of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must truly lead in fulfilling political and foreign affairs tasks, contributing to building a comprehensive, modern, and humane diplomacy; (2) develop a generation of comprehensive youth at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embodying the characteristics of Vietnamese diplomatic officials in the era of deep integration; (3) actively participate in the "Comprehensive Development of Vietnamese Youth" program, creating an environment for each union member to develop intellectually, physically, and spiritually.

Speaking at the Congress, Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang noted that despite ups and downs in the 2020 - 2025 term, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has excelled. The youth, along with all officials and employees of the Ministry, have confidently, courageously, and responsibly achieved the set goals, leaving the 2020 - 2025 term with many proud achievements.
The Deputy Foreign Minister also emphasized that in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must continue to closely follow the guiding views and orientations of the Party Committee Standing Committee and the Government Youth Union Standing Committee. They must innovate deeply, have a new vision, courage, and creativity to make a strong transformation, accompany, lead, and promote union members and youth to pioneer in fulfilling political and professional tasks of agencies and units, contributing to national development.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang also set objectives for the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to further improve in the 2025 - 2030 term.
Firstly, build a generation of courageous, intelligent, and pioneering youth at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Cultivate revolutionary ideals and the aspiration to contribute; develop a generation of youth with ethics, cultural lifestyle, social responsibility, and comprehensive capabilities. Identify, nurture, and spread exemplary models in learning, labor, creativity, and work.
Secondly, build a strong, professional, and digitally adaptive Youth Union organization. Strengthen the Youth Union's ideological, political, ethical, and organizational strength; affirm its role as the reserve force of the Party and a vanguard force. Innovate content and methods of operation towards flexibility, creativity, and professionalism; enhance the application of digital platforms in management and communication.
Thirdly, promote the pioneering and creative role of youth in developing modern diplomacy. Encourage the spirit of innovation and creativity among youth in digital transformation, international integration, green industry, and sustainable economy. Increase youth participation in the Ministry's political tasks; focus on protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and youth.
Earlier, in the morning session of November 28, the Congress elected the 20th Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, term 2025 - 2030, consisting of 25 members.
Mr Nguyen Dong Anh, Member of the Government Youth Union Executive Committee, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Youth Union, term 19, was re-elected as Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Youth Union, term 20, 2025 - 2030.
