The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is currently hosting the “Blooming Light, Soaking Light: Masterpieces from the Netherlands” exhibition, featuring nearly 70 artworks selected from the collection of the national museum of the Netherlands.

The exhibition is being presented to Vietnamese art lovers in the form of electronic and printed slide shows from May 26 to June 11.

It is being jointly organised by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Vietnam, the National Museum of the Netherlands, and the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Netherlands diplomatic ties.

This is the first time that popular Dutch classic works dating back to the 15th-19th centuries have been showcased in Vietnam, offering the public a rare opportunity to learn more about Dutch people, landscapes, and culture.

Featuring five themes - Landscape, Still Life, Portrait, Genre Art, and Spiritual Realm - the exhibition recreates and interprets light in Dutch art history, revealing how it reflects changes in the human perception of reality.
