The initiative forms part of Plan No. 124/KH-UBND dated 7 May 2024 by the Hanoi People’s Committee to stimulate tourism in the capital in 2025, and Plan No. 158/KH-UBND dated 6 June 2025 on activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day.
Under the direction of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, with the active participation and coordination of organisations, enterprises, and individuals engaged in tourism services across the city, the capital’s tourism sector is introducing a range of new and attractive tourism products and programmes. These aim to attract visitors and ensure thoughtful preparations for welcoming residents and tourists to Hanoi during this historic occasion.
The products span both inner-city and suburban areas, offering diverse and appealing experiences for visitors to the capital.
Accordingly, the Hanoi Department of Tourism has developed and will soon launch a collection of 80 signature tourism products, grouped under key themes: heritage - culture - history; eco-tourism - leisure - nature; gastronomy - shopping - urban experiences; arts - nightlife - creativity; hospitality products and services; transport - metro - waterways - aviation; agricultural - craft village - new rural tourism; and inter-regional - provincial - international connections.
This collection not only serves as a warm welcome from Hanoi but also stands as a vivid testament to the capital’s spirit of innovation, creativity, and commitment to building a sustainable, professional and modern tourism industry. The selected and refreshed programmes aim to both promote Hanoi’s cultural and historical values and enrich visitors’ experiences with unique offerings.

The products are scheduled to be officially introduced to tourism enterprises for implementation and opened for public participation from 13 August.
On this occasion, the Hanoi Department of Tourism, in cooperation with Hanoi Metro One-Member Limited Liability Company and travel agencies in the city, is also developing tourism products connecting the urban railway Line 2A (Ha Dong - Cat Linh) with several prominent tourist attractions in the capital.
The elevated Line 2A runs for a total length of 13 km, with 12 stations and an average distance of 1.1 km between stations. Beyond easing traffic congestion, the line creates new opportunities to explore Hanoi in a convenient and environmentally friendly way. Fast, time-saving and cost-effective travel promises visitors and residents distinctive experiences.
With seamless connections, tourists can easily access cultural, historical, culinary and entertainment destinations along the route. The use of the metro also supports the city’s goals of reducing emissions, protecting the environment, and encouraging the use of public transport, aligning with Hanoi’s sustainable development vision.
