Lao Embassy congratulates Vietnam on National Day, highlights Vietnam-Laos special solidarity in Washington, D.C.
WVR - On September 4, in line with the special friendship and close ties between Vietnam and Laos, a delegation from the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in the United States, led by Ambassador Phoukhong Sisoulath, visited the Embassy of Vietnam in the US to extend congratulations on the 81st anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.

At the meeting, Ambassador Phoukhong Sisoulath, his spouse and members of the delegation conveyed their best wishes to Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung, his spouse and all officials and staff of the Embassy of Vietnam on the occasion of Vietnam's National Day.
The Lao Ambassador expressed his delight at Vietnam's notable achievements in recent years, particularly its strong economic growth and the country's increasingly prominent role as a bright spot in the regional economy.
Ambassador Phoukhong Sisoulath underscored that Vietnam's achievements have not only contributed to improving the living standards of its people and enhancing the country's position on the international stage, but have also generated positive momentum for development, regional connectivity and cooperation.
The Lao Ambassador expressed his confidence that Vietnam would continue to achieve further significant and comprehensive accomplishments in its national development.

For his part, Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung expressed his sincere appreciation for the presence and the sentiments of friendship, solidarity and close bonds extended by Ambassador Phoukhong Sisoulath, his spouse and members of the Lao Embassy delegation to the Vietnamese Embassy.
The Vietnamese Ambassador affirmed that the visit and congratulatory message from the Lao side provided a vivid demonstration of the long-standing tradition of great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. He added that the gesture was a meaningful source of encouragement for the officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy on the occasion of the National Day.
The two Ambassadors welcomed the positive development of Vietnam-Laos cooperation and agreed to maintain regular exchanges, strengthen close coordination, support each other and step up people-to-people exchange activities between the two diplomatic missions in the United States.
Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Dung affirmed that the Embassy of Vietnam stands ready to exchange views, coordinate and support the Embassy of Laos in appropriate activities, thereby contributing to promoting cooperation between the two countries as well as between each country and the United States.
The meeting took place in a cordial, friendly and comradely atmosphere, reflecting the steadfast solidarity, close bonds and special importance that both sides attach to the Vietnam-Laos relationship.
