At a press conference on April 11, where the date and venue were announced, Nguyen Thao Hien, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Foreign Market Development Department highlighted that the event is part of Vietnam’s efforts to implement the government-approved project to enable domestic businesses to join global supply chains by 2030.

This year’s event will combine three key programmes – the Vietnam International Sourcing, the HCM City export forum, and the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC).

According to the organisers, more than 300 international purchasing delegations from 60 countries and territories will attend the sourcing fair, supported by over 60 Vietnamese trade offices worldwide.

International buyers will explore over 12,000 products across four key sectors at 500 booths run by more than 400 Vietnamese businesses. The products will include farm produce, beverages, processed foods, garments, textiles, footwear, furniture, supporting industries goods, and personal electronic devices.

Vietnamese participants can engage in B2B meetings with major global retailers and purchasing groups. An estimated 3,000 direct networking sessions are set to take place.

Moreover, industry conferences and workshops will provide insights into market trends, consumer preferences, and updated trade regulations in key export markets. Meanwhile, foreign buyers and distributors will gain deeper insights into Vietnam’s production capacity and supply chain potential.

Hien further noted that in addition to traditional markets like the US, the EU, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 is expected to attract buyers from emerging regions, including the Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and South Asia.
