Connecting the community, preserving Hanoi's beauty

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Hanoi Association in the Federal Republic of Germany Cong Viet Cuong emphasized that despite being far from home, Hanoi natives always look towards the capital with love and pride.

After 16 years of operation, the association has become a common home, helping to connect compatriots, preserve the elegant, civilized, and compassionate beauty of Hanoi people, and educate the younger generation about the nation's traditions and roots.

Recently, the association has actively participated in activities initiated by the embassy and the Vietnamese community, from fundraising for island support, aiding those affected by natural disasters in Vietnam and Germany, to charitable programs and cultural exchanges. Notably, the association has organized two fundraising events to support disabled children in Hanoi, with each donation exceeding 100 million VND.

Regular activities include visiting members in need, holding compatriot gatherings, and cultural exchanges, especially on the occasion of the Capital Liberation Day on October 10, contributing to strengthening solidarity and bonds within the community.

Continuing traditions, looking towards the homeland

Speaking at the gathering, Ambassador Nguyen Dac Thanh highly appreciated the achievements of the association and acknowledged its contributions to building the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Federal Republic of Germany and strengthening the united and strong Vietnamese community.

The ambassador expressed his hope that the association will continue to promote the cultural beauty, elegant, sophisticated, and benevolent lifestyle of Hanoi people; enhance connections, support members in development, and maintain ties with the homeland.
