French Bel Group chooses Vietnam as a strategic production and R&D 'Hub'

The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperative relations and promote the group's strategic investment projects in Vietnam.
During the meeting, Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai highly appreciated Bel's continuous investment expansion, particularly the project to expand production facilities and R&D lines in Ho Chi Minh City in January 2026.
This is considered clear evidence of strategic trust, contributing to Vietnam's goal of realizing high-tech agricultural development and strengthening national food security.
On behalf of Bel Group, Jean-Christophe Coubat affirmed that after more than 30 years of presence, Vietnam has become the group's "nerve centre" in the Asian region.
Thanks to a favorable investment environment and a dynamic young workforce, production scale in Vietnam now not only meets the domestic market but also serves exports to neighboring countries such as China, Thailand, and Indonesia.

To further deepen the relationship, Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai proposed that Bel focus on three directions: Enhancing technology transfer and workforce training to improve supply chain capacity; supporting Vietnamese auxiliary enterprises to integrate more deeply into Bel's international network; and advocating for the French Government and Parliament to promptly ratify the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).
Concluding the meeting, the Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam always stands by businesses. The embassy will maintain regular communication channels to resolve difficulties, ensure project progress, thereby deepening the sustainable investment cooperation landscape between Vietnam and France.
