Exhibition: Celebrating Vietnam’s cultural heritage and traditional crafts 2025

WVR - From November 21–24, the exhibition “Vietnamese Cultural Heritage, Landscapes, and Traditional Handicrafts 2025” will be held at the Hai Phong City Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Hai Phong City People's Committee, and the Vietnam Cultural and Arts Exhibition Center, in collaboration with the Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; and the Departments of Culture and Sports of the provinces and cities: Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hue, and Da Nang, in celebration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

The exhibition “Vietnam's Cultural Heritage, Scenic Spots, and Traditional Handicrafts 2025” is organized with a variety of rich and meaningful activities.

The general exhibition area introduces a system of documents, artifacts, and 300 artistic photos of heritage, including:

The exhibition area reflects President Ho Chi Minh's interest in national cultural heritage, displaying images of President Ho Chi Minh visiting cultural and natural heritage sites; documents from President Ho Chi Minh and Party and State leaders on cultural heritage.

The photo exhibition “Vietnam - The Land of Heritage” features displays such as: Vietnam - The Land of Marvelous Heritage; Vietnam - The Paradise of World Biosphere Reserves; Vietnam - The Land of Human Memories.

Additionally, the thematic display area “The Colorful Space of Vietnam's Intangible Cultural Heritage” showcases images, documents, and artifacts introducing the vibrant colors of intangible cultural heritage such as Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, Hue royal court music, and the cultural space of the Central Highlands gong culture...

The “Hanoi Culinary Heritage” space introduces the national intangible cultural heritage: Hanoi Pho - Folk Knowledge, encompassing the knowledge, skills, techniques, and secrets of pho preparation passed down through generations, reflecting the unique culinary culture of the capital.

The organizers introduce to the public displays of: traditional Vietnamese calligraphy art; Ao Dai with the theme “Vietnamese Ao Dai in National Cultural Heritage”; exhibitions and performances of light sculpture art (The story of the horse in culture from the nation's founding to now with the collection Heavenly Horse - Perfect Achievement, Welcoming 2026 - the Year of the Horse).

The art exhibition “Ceramics & Tea” takes visitors into an artistic space, telling the story of cultural heritage with artistic ceramic works and experiencing the unique features of tea culture; introducing the national intangible cultural heritage: the art of scenting lotus tea in Quang An (Tay Ho, Hanoi), combining Tan Cuong green tea and West Lake lotus to create a unique, sophisticated tea flavor, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Hanoi's culinary cultural values.

Additionally, the exhibition features the “Heritage Journey 2025” photo display, showcasing award-winning works from the Heritage Photography Awards - Heritage Journey 2025.

In the Vietnamese Rural Tourism Promotion Space, visitors have the opportunity to explore agricultural and rural tourism across the country; promotional materials for green rural tourism models, and exemplary community tourism introduced by localities are displayed in decorative miniatures, product display areas, and publications; notable OCOP products, handicrafts, and village products suitable as travel gifts, associated with tourist destinations reflecting the distinctive regional characteristics.

The display areas of the provinces and cities: Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hue, Da Nang, and Hai Phong will introduce the notable natural cultural heritage of each locality, popular tourist destinations; showcase unique community activities; promote the potential for ecological and sustainable tourism in the region...

Throughout the exhibition days, cultural and artistic exchange programs honor various forms of intangible cultural heritage, showcasing regional cultural heritage performances such as the art exchange “Shimmering Colors”, “Vietnam My Homeland”, and the Northern Village Communal House Cultural Space.

Additionally, the “Traditional Folk Art Clubs Festival” features traditional folk art performances such as ethnic musical instruments, ethnic folk dances, and folk songs like Xam, Ca Tru, Hat Chau Van, Quan Ho, Hat Xoan, Trong Quan, Hat Cheo, Hat Vi Giam, Bai Choi, Hue singing, Central Highlands gong culture, and Don Ca Tai Tu...

Notably, the parade “Honoring Vietnamese Ao Dai - Journey to Spread the Beauty of Heritage” is a vibrant highlight in the series of exchange activities, promoting heritage and traditional culture. The program gathers a large number of artists, models, officials, women's union members, youth union members, and residents of the port city in a space filled with cultural colors.
