WVR - On January 30, the Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia hosted the Spring Homeland Program for Tet Binh Ngo 2026 at the embassy's headquarters in Riyadh.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, concurrently serving Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen, Hoang Huu Anh and his spouse presided over the program. It saw the participation of over 200 Vietnamese citizens residing and working in Saudi Arabia and several countries under the embassy's jurisdiction, including Vietnamese spouses, local friends who cherish Vietnam, and all embassy staff and their families.

In the jubilant atmosphere celebrating the success of the 14th Party Congress and welcoming the traditional New Year Binh Ngo 2026, Ambassador Hoang Huu Anh highlighted Vietnam's significant socio-economic achievements over 80 years. He emphasized the Party and State's policy of prioritizing citizens and businesses, affirming the embassy's continued efforts to support community members and accompany businesses in their operations and investments in the host country and other responsible nations.

Affirming that the Vietnamese community in Saudi Arabia and other jurisdictions is an inseparable part and a resource of the national community, the Ambassador stressed that the embassy is always a common home for all Vietnamese and businesses in the host and responsible countries, a place where everyone can come at any time with any request.

Additionally, Ambassador Hoang Huu Anh noted that the success of the local community is a crucial factor in strengthening the cooperative and friendly relations between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia and other countries under the embassy's jurisdiction.

On the eve of the New Year Binh Ngo 2026, Ambassador Hoang Huu Anh wished the community continued growth, unity, success, peace, and prosperity.

On behalf of the Vietnamese community living and working in Saudi Arabia attending the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, Director of Savina Link, expressed gratitude to the embassy for its constant care and timely support when needed. She was delighted to participate in this year's Spring Homeland Program, considering it an opportunity for expatriates to connect and look towards their homeland during the annual traditional Tet festival.

At the event, community members and guests enjoyed a traditional Tet atmosphere with the red colors of the national and Party flags, spring-themed decorations, and vibrant peach and apricot blossoms.

Despite being far from home, attendees savored the taste of Tet with traditional dishes such as banh chung, gio lua, cha, nem ran, and pickled vegetables, and enjoyed cultural performances by community members and the embassy.
