Diplomatic Academy hosts Program on international issues and Vietnam's foreign policy for management leaders

The program on international issues and Vietnam's foreign policy for management leaders is aimed at members of the Provincial and City Party Executive Committees. The program saw the participation of 70 leaders and management officials from 27 provinces and cities across the country.
Organized by the Training and Fostering Department for Foreign Affairs Officers, Diplomatic Academy, the program is part of the project "Training civil servants and officials in foreign affairs with the capacity to work in an international environment in the new era from 2026 to 2031". It aims to update information and foreign affairs practices for members of the Provincial and City Party Committees directly under the Central Government.
On the morning of June 10, Party Central Committee Member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong inaugurated the program. Previously, on June 9, participants attended the ASEAN Future Forum 2026 as official delegates and engaged in numerous important side activities.
During the program, leaders were updated through three topics: "New Thinking of the 14th National Party Congress and Resolution 59 and Strategic Implications for Localities", "Promoting the Pioneering Role of Cultural Diplomacy in Promoting Images, Building Local Brands for Rapid and Sustainable Socio-Economic Development", and "Updates on the World Situation and Its Impact on Local Development".
In discussions, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs always identifies localities as one of the most important entities in implementing foreign affairs. Recently, the Ministry has actively accompanied localities in expanding foreign relations and international integration, promoting investment, trade, tourism, science, and technology...
This is not only a training and capacity-building program but has gradually become an important annual event organized by the Training and Fostering Department for Foreign Affairs Officers, Diplomatic Academy. It provides practical experiences in foreign affairs for management leaders who are members of the Provincial and City Party Committees and contributes to enhancing awareness, strategic thinking, and leadership capacity of key local officials in the context of profound changes in the world, regional, and domestic situations.
